Five divisions of freshman colt pacers and four divisions of freshman filly pacers take to the track on Saturday night (July 8) at Eldorado Scioto Downs and Next Generation winners Midwind Beach Boy and Magestic Seas will look to make it two in a row to start their careers as they headline the opening of the two-year-old division of the Ohio Sires Stakes. Each division will carry a purse of $40,000.

Midwind Beach Boy (sired by Downbytheseaside) rallied from mid-pack around the final turn to win the $150,000 Preferred Equine Next Generation for two-year-old colt pacers on Saturday night (July 1) by a head. Chris Page will have the lines again for trainer Ron Burke.

In the $150,000 Preferred Equine Next Generation for the filly pacers, Magestic Seas (Downbytheseaside) and Ronnie Wrenn Jr. held on down the stretch to win by a head. Wrenn will get the call again to drive for trainer Brian Brown in the first division.
