Rush Rules Delivers At Sudbury

Rush Rules rallied off third over cover to deliver on his pari-mutuel promise Wednesday evening in the $11,000 Not Listed Preferred Pace at Sudbury Downs

With Aaron Byron in the bike, the six-year-old gelded son of Scooter Scott-Sf Cavalier sat fifth for most of the mile following Brawny (Allan Hohner) while Pan Larceny (David Dowling) carved out fractions of :28.4, :57.3 and 1:26.1 with Pieraz (Pascal Berube) battling right alongside for the top spot. Rush Rules sprinted home in :29.3 to pick off the dueling leaders at the wire in 1:56.2. Pan Larceny finished a quarter-length behind in second with Pieraz just a half-length back in third.

Rush Rules ($3.20) has won half of his eight starts this season earning over $23,000 for trainer Mike Sinclair and owner-breeder Robert Truman of Harbor Springs, Michigan. Lifetime, the winner of 157,350 has posed for 23 win photos.

Trainer France MacLean teamed up with driver Paul MacLean for three wins on the 11-race card. Colamotion (1:58.1), Deuces And Jacks (1:56.4) and P C Corvette (2:03) helped her to the training triple.
