$6,180 Average For FCYS's Preferred Sale

The second session of this year's Forest City Yearling Sale was conducted earlier today at the Agriplex in London, Ontario, with 128 yearling going through the sales ring for an average price of $6,180.

Today's "Preferred Sale" average paled in comparison to the $21,380 average from last Sunday's "Selected Sale" which saw 246 yearlings go under the auctioneer's hammer.

On The Cusp, a daughter of Camluck out of the Breeders Crown-winning mare, Headline Hanover (1:54.1 - $524,357), topped this afternoon's auction. Dave Byron of Thornton, ON signed the ticket on the filly, who sold for $27,000.

Rehab Mountain, a son of Duke Of York – Dukeholme Glory, was the second highest priced purchase at today's second session. The half-brother to Uhadadream (1:53.2 - $653,082) was purchased by Merv Chupp of Crete, IL.
