Burlington Stakes Drawn

The Mohawk Racetrack race office has drawn four $100,000 divisions of the Burlington Stakes for three-year-old pacers, to be contested Saturday, June 13 over the Campbellville, Ont. oval.
A total of 39 horses have drawn into the Burlington splits, carded as Race 4, 5, 8 and 11. Race 11 will feature a nine-horse field.
The Burlington is the Woodbine Entertainment Group's last major prep before the eliminations for the $1.5 million Pepsi North America Cup. The NA Cup elims will take place Saturday, June 20, while the final will be raced Saturday, June 27.
The first division (Race 4) will feature the George Teague, Jr.-trained Johnny Z (PP2, J. Moiseyev), The Panderosa colt that captured the Hempt Memorial at Pocono Downs in 1:51.4. Art Colony (PP5, J. Campbell) has also drawn into the first Burlington split. The Casie Coleman pupil will have new driver John Campbell in the bike. Dragon Again colt Mysticism (PP7, S. Condren) will also contest the third split for trainer Steve Elliott.
The second division (Race 5) will see the Jack Darling-trained Upper Canada Cup winner Stonebridge Terror (PP6, M. Saftic) take on some other top colts. Breeders Crown victor Well Said (PP7, R. Pierce) will be representing the Steve Elliott stable in the second division, while both Drop Red (PP8, J. Jamieson) and Hoosier Cup winner Mr Wiggles (PP10, C. Callahan) will represent the Teague Stable.
Another Teague trainee, Chasin Racin (PP3, J. Campbell), will be looking to make its presence felt in the third division (Race 8). Erv Miller-trained Western Ideal colt Ideal Danny (PP4, R. Pierce) will also be in the dash, as will
The Robin Furlong-conditioned Mighty Me (PP10, J. Moiseyev).
The last Burlington split (Race 11) will see Western Hanover gelding Annieswesterncard (PP5, R. Pierce) take on the Frank Baker, Jr.-trained OK Boromir (PP1, L. Ouellette). The Tracy Brainard-trained Waffles And Cream (PP3, J. Campbell) will also be contesting the dash.
