Quickcam became the fastest three-year-old pacing colt in the history of St. John's Racetrack in Newfoundland on Sunday afternoon when he toured the half-mile oval in 2:06.2

.

His performance trimmed two-fifths of a second off the previous mark set back in 2006 by Nobodyslaughinnow.

Quickcam, owned, trained and driven by Aubrey Williams of Goulds, NL, found himself parked at the quarter pole before getting down to the rail and tracking Deucesneverlooses through early fractions of :31 and 1:03.3. Williams brushed to the top shortly past the mid-way point with the youngster before sprinting the field to the three-quarter pole in 1:35. A :31.2 final quarter was more than enough for the free-legged pacer to win in 2:06.2.

It was more than 29 lengths back to runner-up Formac For Melissa. Deucesneverlooses was a distant third in the six-horse affair.

Quickcam, a son of Quick Comeback-Cams Cakewalk, took a 2:06 record over the St. John’s oval last season. He has put together a 2-1-2 lifetime record from just 12 trips behind the starting gate.
