Doug Millard's homebred trotter Body Balance won his Georgian Downs debut on Saturday night, taking top honours in the featured $11,000 Preferred 2 Trot.

Driven by Robert Shepherd, 5-2 second choice Body Balance ($7.80) rallied three-wide around the stalled cover of favourite Rush N Supreme past three-quarters and kicked home to win the feature race of the night in 1:56.3 by two lengths over pocket-sitter Heres The Magic and front-stepper Aisling.

Trained by Brad Maxwell, the four-year-old Yankee Glide-Elegantimage gelding earned his first win in two starts this year. Lifetime, he has five wins in 16 starts on his record and earnings totalling $65,762.

Shepherd had a driving triple on the 10-race card as he also teamed up with his brother Patrick later for back-to-back wins with Nostalgia Seelster ($4.10) and Solid Performance ($6.20).
