Trainer Les Givens captured three of the five $20,000 divisions of the Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) stakes for three-year-old trotters Sunday at Harrington Raceway.

Nanticoke Racing and Ross Wolfenden’s Windshield (Wolfenden, $2.10) won his 13th race in 15 starts with a dominant front-end win in the first colt split in 2:00.2. The Political Briefing colt never had an anxious moment in his wire-to-wire win.

Givens also won two filly divisions with Nanticoke Racing and Delbert Cain’s Alleigh Girl ($2.10, Wolfenden) and Nanticoke Racing and Bobby Wyatt’s Da Boss Lady ($4.20, Jim Morand). Alleigh Girl, a daughter of Don Boss Vita, completed a sweep of her eliminations with a 2:00 victory while fellow Don Boss Vita-sired Da Boss Lady cinched her berth in the $100,000 final with a 2:01 triumph.

Josh Green and Baron Racing’s Commitment To Win ($5.40, Roger Plante Jr.) gathered in rivals late to win the other filly division in 2:00.2. A daughter of CR Commando, Commitment To Win earned her second career win for trainer Green.

In the remaining colt division, E&K Stable and Lois and Earl Walters’ Im So Striking ($2.20, Eddie Dennis) was a patient winner in 2:02.4. The So Striking gelding picked up his sixth win in 10 lifetime starts.

The top eight points leaders in the DSBF races will return in a series of $100,000 finals for all three-year-old divisions on July 26, on the annual Governor’s Day of Racing card at the Delaware State Fair. On Monday’s program at Harrington, the DSBF three-year-old pacing colts will compete in their second elimination leg.
