'Horatio' And 'Caviar' Return

After a four-month absence, millionaire Rustler Hanover son Keystone Horatio put in a mile this morning at Mohawk racetrack during the seven-race qualifying session

With Randy Waples in the bike for trainer John Kopas, the four-year-old bay sat fourth through the opening half-mile and came first-up in the third quarter. Joshua Park (driven by Pat Hudon) would go on to win the dash by nine lengths in 1:53. Keystone Horatio finished second, pacing his mile in 1:54.4. The fractions were recorded in :28.2, :57 and 1:25.

In Race 5, Michelles Power put in her first charted line since being a vet's scratch out of the Classic Distaff April 6 at Dover Downs. With Jody Jamieson in the bike for trainer Tony O'Sullivan, the millionaire daughter of Camluck came from off the pace to finish second by a quarter length, pacing her mile in 1:55.2. Part Shark, with Randy Waples in tow, won the dash.

Enjoy The Caviar, recently spotlighted in a Trot Insider exclusive, made a successful return to the track in Race 7. The six-year-old SJs Caviar gelding had lasted raced December 8, 2008.

With Mike Saftic in the bike for trainer Joanne Dawson, Enjoy The Caviar powered to the lead by the half-mile marker and went on to post a nine and a quarter-length victory in 1:56.4.
