WEG Announces Paddock Dress Code

Published: May 29, 2012 04:50 pm EDT

In an effort to ensure that trainers and stable personnel are in appropriate attire on race day, officials with the Woodbine Entertainment Group have enacted a dress code policy for

members of its thoroughbred community.

The WEG attire notice, which appears below, indicates that, effective 2012, trainers and stable personnel who are in Woodbine Racetrack's thoroughbred paddock on race day must adhere to a 'neat and uniform appearance' that the track has clearly outlined.

The notice states that trainers and accompanying personnel should be neatly dressed, and that no cutoff shorts, cutoff shirts, tank tops or flip flops will be permitted.

It appears as though the dress code has only been implemented for live thoroughbred racing at Woodbine at this point.
