Lombo Skyrider A doubled up in the featured $11,000 Not Listed Preferred Pace on Saturday night at Sudbury Downs

Trainer Don Gillis, Jr. drove the 11-year-old son of Panorama to victory in 1:55.3 for owner John Bianco of Bolton, Ont. Lombo Skyrider A left from Post 3 and carved out all the panels before cruising to the wire with a two length lead on the field.

Round About Fame (David Dowling) and Astro Lad (Mike Mac Neill) finished second and third.

Lombo Skyrider A notched his third triumph of the season bringing his winnings to $30,062. The 40-time winner now sports a bankroll of $610,424.

A quartet of Mayflower Series divisions for $3,500 claimers were also contested at the Chelmsford half-miler and Its Art To Believe, driven by David Dowling, won the first split in wire-to-wire fashion by three lengths for trainer Mike Lamoureux and local owner Chantell Robertson. The veteran son of Artiscape notched his fourth win in five outings this year when he stopped the clock in 1:59.4.

Dowling used the same front-end tactics to win the second division by three lengths in 2:00.1 with his pupil Certified Tuwin. The seven-year-old gelded son of The Panderosa scored his first seasonal score in three tries for Amanda Boyd of Chelmsford.

Jeneract, a 17-1 longshot, and driver Gerry Belanger used a pocket trip to win the third split by a head over the favoured Crusher Supreme (Mario Rivest) in 1:57.4. The six-year-old gelded son of Jennas Beach Boy also scored his first win of the season in three starts for trainer and co-owner Jean Noel Leblanc and Louis Belanger of Trois-Rivieres, Que.

Post time favourite Greengrass triumphed by three lengths in 2:00 in his division for driver Mike Dowling giving trainer Mike Lamoureux another win on the card. The win was the eight-year-old gelded son of Chill Factor’s fifth of 2009 in 14 outings.

Lamoureux ended the night with a training triple giving him 12 wins this year and 149 in his career. David Dowling also had a productive night scoring five driving wins on the 13-race program giving him 19 wins on the year and 504 in his career.
