'Paulette' Repeats In Meadows Preferred

On April 20 at The Meadows, Paulette Revere stalked Unefoisdansmavie from the pocket, then brushed by her in the lane to capture the Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Trot.

On Saturday, it was déjà vu as Paulette Revere once more used a pocket trip and the Lightning Lane to defeat Unefoisdansmavie by a neck in 1:55.2 and take the $22,500 top distaff trot. RT Sun Poco finished third.

Mike Wilder drove the five-year-old daughter of Victory Sam-Hopeful Joy, who won for the 18th time in 2012-2013, for trainer Mike Palone and owner Brian Gillespie.

Elsewhere on the card, North America Cup eligible Beach Memories romped to victory in a non-winners of five event in 1:50.2 -- the fastest mile this year by a three-year-old gelding on a five-eighths-mile track. Dave Palone piloted the son of Somebeachsomewhere-Allamerican Memoir for trainer Brian Brown and owners Strollin Stable, AWS Stables, King McNamara and Country Club Acres. It was one of four wins on the 12-race card for Palone.
