Harness racing's future stars are preparing for competition, with some of those highly-anticipated two-year-olds comprising categories in the 2024 TROT Magazine Fantasy Stable.

Trot Insider has compiled an overview of the contenders in each two-year-old category as the deadline approaches. (All names are up to date as of publication.)


GROUP I - Two-Year-Old Pacing Colts & Geldings

Twin B Fresh Bet (Bettors Delight-Fresh Breeze) is the third foal out of the unraced Captaintreacherous mare Fresh Breeze and a half brother to multiple Grand Circuit stakes winner Twin B Joe Fresh (p, 3, 1:48.2 [$1,455,464]). He was a $500,000 purchase from the Standardbred Horse Sales Company's The Black Book Yearling Sale in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Readyforprimetime (Bettors Delight-Prescient Beauty) is the second foal out of the Grand Circuit stakes-winning Art Major mare Prescient Beauty and a half brother to last year's Metro Pace winner Captains Quarters (p, 2, 1:49.3s [$525,904]). His dam is a sibling to a pair of O'Brien Award winners, stallion Sportswriter and Precocious Beauty. Readyforprimetime was another half-million dollar yearling, purchased from the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale in Lexington, Kentucky.

Phantomofthenight (Tall Dark Stranger-Lus Illusion) is the second foal out of a Sweet Lou sister to double millionaires Rock N Roll Heaven and Clear Vision. Purchased for $350,000 from the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale, Phantomofthenight is a half sibling to stakes winner Donegal Spirit (p, 2, 1:53.1f [$43,074]).

Wavemaker (Tall Dark Stranger-Making Waves) was purchased for $300,000 from the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale as the first foal out of the Captaintreacherous mare Making Waves, who is a 1:50.1 Kentucky stakes winner with siblings that include a pair of millionaires in former world champion and two-time O'Brien Award winner American Jewel and the Breeders Crown-winning stallion Luck Be Withyou.

Morrone Dolce (Tall Dark Stranger-Attention Hanover) was a $300,000 yearling purchased from The Black Book Yearling Sale. He is the first foal out of the Somebeachsomewhere mare Attention Hanover, who is a half-sister to millionaire Abuckabett Hanover and was a career winner of more than $200,000 herself.

Set Shot (Bettors Delight-Pristine Beauty) is the second foal out of the Art Major mare Pristine Beauty and a half-brother to Ohio fair stakes winner Swaggy Cal (p, 2, 1:55.4h [$27,477]). His dam is a full sister to the aforementioned Prescient Beauty. Set Shot sold for $280,000 at the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.

Glowing Lou (Sweet Lou-Teenybopper) is the third foal out of the unraced Somebeachsomewhere mare Teenybopper and a half brother to Teen Dream (p, 4, 1:53.2f [$92,862]). His second dam is the O'Brien Award-winning double millionaire, Glowing Report, a full sister to the dam of prolific stallion Well Said. Glowing Lou was a $260,000 yearling purchase from The Black Book Sale.

TH Colby (Papi Rob Hanover-Fade) is the fourth foal out of the Shadow Play mare Fade, an Ontario stakes winner. Purchased for $250,000 at The Black Book Yearling Sale, TH Colby is a half brother to last year's Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final champion and Breeders Crown elimination winner Storm Shadow (p, 2, 1:51.1s [$375,154]) as well as Grand Circuit stakes winner Fade Out (p, 4, 1:50.1f [$411,633]) and Fade To Light (p, 3, 1:51.1s [$85,801]).

Fallout (Captaintreacherous-Aria Hanover) is the fifth foal out of the Pennsylvania stakes-winning Well Said mare Aria Hanover and was purchased for $250,000 from the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale. The colt's full siblings include a pair of sub-1:48 pacers in Blue Diamond Eyes (p, 3, 1:47.2 [$1,340,144]) and new stallion Captain Kirk (p, 4, 1:47.4 [$462,582]).

Higher Ground (Always B Miki-Shebesailin) was a $230,000 yearling purchase from the Lexington Selected Sale as the first foal out of the Captaintreacherous sister to millionaire stallion and two-time Breeders Crown champion Perfect Sting. Higher Ground's second dam is the world champion Shebestingin.

GROUP J - Two-Year-Old Pacing Fillies

Penny Benjamin (Sweet Lou-Dismissal), a $400,000 yearling purchase from The Black Book Sale, is the fourth foal out of the Western Terror mare Dismissal. She is a half sister to world champion Bythemissal (p, 4, 1:47.1 [$2,230,509]), who includes the Breeders Crown and Little Brown Jug among his numerous Grand Circuit stakes conquests.

Lily White Hanover (Captaintreacherous-Lillian Hanover) was purchased for $350,000 as a yearling from the Lexington Selected Sale and is the fourth foal out of the Well Said sister to millionaire Dealt A Winner. Lily White Hanover's half siblings include last year's O'Brien Award-winning two-year-old colt Legendary Hanover (p, 2, 1:50s, [$405,100]), Canadian record holder Linedrive Hanover (p, 5, 1:47s [$675,195]) and Yarm (p, 4, 1:52.1f [$78,622]).

Supermax Contract (Papi Rob Hanover-Big McDeal) is the fifth foal out of the former world champion and 100 per cent producing McArdle mare Big McDeal. A $350,000 yearling purchase from the Lexington Selected Sale, she is a half sister to last year's Breeders Crown winner Max Contract (p, 3, 1:48.3 [$658,405]) as well as Im A Big Deal (p, 4, 1:49f $419,270]), Hungry Man (p, 3, 1:49f [$182,138]) and Deal The Cards (p, 7, 1:52.4f [$115,842]).

Champagne Room (Papi Rob Hanover-See You At Peelers) is the seventh foal out of the former world champion and millionaire Bettors Delight mare See You At Peelers. The $310,000 yearling purchase from the Lexington Selected Sale is a half-sister to six-figure earners Toronto (p, 3, 1:491f [$202,276]), Threshold [p, 4, 1:52.4f [$130,665]) and Ivy League (p, 2, 1:52.2f [$113,395]) as well as Geometry, the dam of Geocentric (p, 2, 1:49.3 ($556,251]) and Horizontal [p, 3, 1:48.4 [$139,770]).

Charlotte Station (Captaintreacherous-Southwind Spring) is the first foal out of the unraced Well Said sister to Little Brown Jug champion and millionaire stallion Southwind Ozzi. Charlotte Station was purchased for $300,000 from the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.

Millie May Hanover (Bettors Delight-Mayhem Seelster) is the fifth foal out of the Ontario Sires Stakes-winning Mach Three mare Mayhem Seelster. Her full brother is Grand Circuit stakes winner Mirage Hanover (p, 2, 1:50.4s [$220,660]) and half siblings are Mad Max Hanover (p, 3, 1:47.4 [$733,225]), Milieu Hanover (p, 3, 1:51f [$393,457]) and Mollop Hanover (p, 3, 1:50s [$151,065]). She was a $300,000 yearling buy from The Black Book Sale.

Shesnostranger (Tall Dark Stranger-Sandbetweenurtoes) is the first foal out of the millionaire O'Brien Award-winning Somebeachsomewhere mare Sandbetweenurtoes, a Grand Circuit stakes champion as a sophomore and top Open distaffer at Woodbine racetracks for many years. Shesnostranger was a $275,000 purchase from the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.

Ascendance (Captaintreacherous-Higher And Higher) is the seventh foal out of multiple Grand Circuit stakes-winning Western Terror mare Higher And Higher, who banked close to $1 million in her career. Ascendance's siblings include Highalator (p, 5, 1:48f [$675,764]), South Beach Star (p, 5, 1:48.1f [$393,994]) and JK Higher Power, the dam of Joyride Hanover (p, 3, 1:51.2 [$254,005]). She was purchased for $260,000 from the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.

Stonebridge Georja (Bettors Delight-Rock N Soul) is the fifth foal out of the millionaire Rocknroll Hanover mare Rock N Soul. A half sibling to Grand Circuit stakes winner Stonebridge Soul (p, 3, 1:49.3f [$794,961]), Stonebridge Reef (p, 4, 1:50.1 [$273,320]) and Stonebridge Karis (p, 3, 1:50.4f [$121,553], Stonebridge Georja was a $250,000 yearling purchase from the Lexington Selected Sale.

Call You Up (Captaintreacherous-Southwind Silence) is the fifth foal out of the $500,000-earning full sister to the aformentioned Southwind Spring. Call You Up is a half sibling to Battle Of Waterloo champion Sounds Good (p, 3, 1:50.4s [$241,748]) and Off The Record (p, 3, 1:51 [$227,032]). She was purchased from The Black Book Yearling Sale for $245,000. 

GROUP K - Two-Year-Old Trotting Colts & Geldings

Hidalgo (Muscle Hill-Brooklyn) was the 2023 Black Book Yearling Sale topper at $600,000. He is the eighth foal out of the Grand Circuit stakes-winning Conway Hall mare Brooklyn. His full siblings include Grand Circuit stakes winners Kings County (t, 6, 1:51.4f [$534,189]) and exported Brooklyn Hill (t, 2, 1:53.1 [$279,328]).

Maryland (Chapter Seven-Crucial) is the first foal out of the $500,000-earning Father Patrick sister to O'Brien Award-winning millionaire Venerable. He was purchased for $475,000 at the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.

Grande Via (Muscle Hill-Megadolce) is the second foal out of the Cantab Hall mare Megadolce to sell for $450,000 at the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale. His dam is a half sister to two-time Breeders Crown champion and double millionaire Bella Bellini as well as Boccone Dolce, the dam of millionaire Breeders Crown winner Bond.

Hatfield (Cantab Hall-Nicoles Promise) is the ninth foal out of the Dream Vacation mare Nicoles Promise and a full brother to last year's O'Brien Award-winning two-year-old colt T C I (t, 2, 1:51.4 [$1,453,270]). Other siblings include Livininthefastlane (t, 3, 1:53f [$460,481]),  Global Pandemic (t, 2, 1:54.4f [$212,174]) and Jula Magician (t, 4, 1:53.4f [$204,354]). Hatfield went through The Black Book Yearling Sale ring for $400,000.

The Rogue Prince (Walner-Check Me Out) is the seventh foal out of former world champion and Breeders Crown winner Check Me Out. He is a full brother to stallion King Of The North (t, 3, 1:50.3 [$1,370,242]), who set a Canadian record with his own Breeders Crown triumph, and a half sibling to Check Out Trixie, the dam of Grand Circuit stakes winner Instagram Model (t, 2, 1:53 [$546,726]). The Rogue Prince was purchased for $375,000 at the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.

Sparkling Volo (Tactical Landing-Sterling Volo) is the seventh foal out of the Donato Hanover mare Sterling Volo, with a Breeders Crown-winning half sibling Lily Stride (t, 3, 1:50.2 [$717,762]). The colt was purchased from the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale for $300,000.

Super Chapter (Chapter Seven-Lifetime Pursuit) is out of the former world champion Cantab Hall mare Lifetime Pursuit, a millionaire Hambletonian Oaks winner with four other unraced foals. The colt was a $300,000 yearling purchased from The Black Book Sale.

Brulee (Walner-Biscotti) is the third foal out of the unraced Father Patrick mare Biscotti and he is a full brother to Pizzelle (t, 2, 1:53.2 [$315,850]) and half sibling to Espresso (t, 2, 1:53.3 [$364,043]) -- both multiple Grand Circuit stakes winners. Brulee was purchased for $280,000 from the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.

Liberty (Muscle Hill-Thatsnotmyname) is the eighth foal out of the Grand Circuit stakes-winning Windsongs Legacy sister to stallions Muscle Mass and Muscle Massive -- the former a world champion Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame candidate and the latter a millionaire Hambletonian Stakes winner. A $275,000 yearling purchase from the Lexington Selected Sale, Liberty's own siblings include Grand Circuit stakes winners Security Protected (t, 2, 1:52.4 [$357,354]) and Basquiat (t, 3, 1:51.2 [$289,748]).

Mister Malone (Muscle Hill-Gama Bourbon FR) is the first foal out of international race winner Gama Bourbon FR by Ready Cash. His family includes two-time Prix d'Amerique winner Face Time Bourbon, a career winner of nearly $5 million, in addition to European stakes stars Mara Bourbon and Qualita Bourbon, both double millionaires. Mister Malone was a $260,000 yearling purchased from the Lexington Selected Sale.

GROUP L - Two-Year-Old Trotting Fillies

Kadena (Gimpanzee-Mission Brief) was purchased for the hefty tag of $800,000 to top the 2023 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale as the fourth foal out of the world champion sister to fellow Muscle Hill-sired Breeders Crown winner and stallion Tactical Landing. Kadena's half siblings include stakes winner Adirondack (t, 3, 1:52.1 [$88,411]) and Breeders Crown finalist Jaya Bae (t, 2, 1:53.2 [$28,900]).

Voguish (Gimpanzee-Jolene Jolene) is the fifth foal out of the multiple Grand Circuit stakes-winning Muscle Hill mare Jolene Jolene. The filly is a half sister to the aforementioned O'Brien Award winner Venerable (t, 2, 1:52 [$1,348,176]) and Pennsylvania champion Crucial (t, 3, 1:52.4f [$528,598]). She was purchased for $535,000 from The Black Book Yearling Sale.

Destiny Deo (Chapter Seven-Princess Deo) is the first foal out of the Grand Circuit stakes-winning Trixton mare Princess Deo and she was purchased for $460,000 from the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.

Mybffannee (Tactical Landing-Avalicious) is the sixth foal out of the New York stakes-winning RC Royalty mare Avalicious. A full sister to last year's Breeders Crown two-year-old colt champion Karl (t, 2, 1:51.2 [$1,041,977]), Mybffannee was purchased for $435,000 from the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.

Royal Mission (Chapter Seven-Swinging Royalty) is the fourth foal out of the 100 per cent stakes-winning producer Swinging Royalty, a daughter of RC Royalty and a New York stakes winner herself. Royal Mission is a full sister to Canadian Trotting Classic champions Ahundreddollarbill (t, 4, 1:50.2 [$1,020,355]) and Slay (t, 3, 1:51 [$868,860]) as well as New York stakes winner Royal Filly (t, 3, 1:52 [$246,209]). She was a $390,000 yearling purchase from The Black Book Sale.

Lisbon (Tactical Landing-Swing It Cathy) is the third foal out of the Donato Hanover full sister to Breeders Crown champion and double millionaire Shake It Cerry and stakes winners Uncle Lasse and the exported Solvato. Lisbon is a half sister to Quaint (t, 3, 1:56.1 [$48,497]) and was purchased as a yearling for $375,000 at the Lexington Selected Sale.

French Riviera (Greenshoe-Creamy Mimi) is the 12th foal out of the Hambletonian Oaks champion mare by Conway Hall. A $350,000 purchase from the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale, French Riviera is a half sister to the likes of dual Pennsylvania and Kentucky champion French Wine (t, 3, 1:50 [$1,014,905]), exported Grand Circuit stakes winner French Laundry (t, 3, 1:52.4 [$679,629]) and French Cafe (3, 1:52.3 [$228,331]).

French Kisses (Chapter Seven-Sans Defaut) is the first foal out of the full sister to the former world champion and stallion Southwind Frank. The Muscle Hill mare Sans Defaut is a multiple Pennsylvania stakes winner herself with more than a quarter-million dollars in earnings. French Kisses was purchased for $325,000 from the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.

Soupie J (Southwind Frank-Bayou) is the second foal out of the Father Patrick sister to millionaire Breeders Crown champion Bond. She was a Lexington Selected Sale yearling, purchased for $310,000.

Oklahomasmokeshow (Tactical Landing-Flawless Lindy), a $300,000 Lexington Selected Sale yearling, is the fourth foal out the Cantab Hall mare Flawless Lindy. She is a half sister to the aforementioned O'Brien Award winner Southwind Frank (t, 3, 1:52.1 [$2,115,999]) and Sans Defaut (t, 3, 1:53.2f [$275,722]) as well as Southwind Fiat, the dam of Grand Circuit stakes winner Point Of Perfect (t, 3, 1:51.2 [$378,146]).


Contest entry is now open, but you have until 5 p.m. (EST) on May 24 to make your selections. You cannot change your stable once submitted.

The contest is based on total earnings of selected horses and five percent of the earnings of selected trainers and drivers between May 24, 2024 and Dec. 31, 2024. Follow along all year long!

For the purposes of the fantasy bankroll, the winners (horses only) of the 2024 Breeders Crown Finals will each receive a $200,000 contest bankroll bonus. Once again, in the two-year-old categories, you must select TWO horses in each.

At the end of the year, the first three finishers (based on total stable earnings) will be awarded betting vouchers in the amount of $800 (first place), $400 (second place) and $200 (third place).
