Dover Win For “Zin”; Bondy N Rolling

Delivered From Zin returned to the Dover Downs winner’s circle for the fourth time this year, while Bondy N registered his fourth triumph since arriving in the U.S. in a pair of big money tilts at the Delaware oval on Monday

Big-hearted Delivered From Zin, with meet leading Corey Callahan driving, wore down Ise The By Boy and fast-finishing Nova Artist in deep stretch to win a 1:51.3 photo finish in the $36,000 Preferred Handicap Pace. Howard Taylor owns the Sealed N Delivered-Zinful gelding who has been in the first three finishers in seven of eight outings this year. It was the second straight week, Ise The By Boy has been second beaten by a neck each time. Nova Artist, another consistent contender, was third. Delivered From Zin has already won $69,850 in 2012 and $479,354 lifetime.

Tim Tetrick took Bondy N out heading to the clubhouse turn but this week found cover behind Kiss My Art. On the final turn Bondy N moved to the outside and beat three other rivals to the finish line chalking up a 1:52.3 victory. Catchmecullen A was a close second with Winsmith Art edging Samandar for third. Peter Tritton conditions Bondy N, an 11-year-old altered son of former U.S. 1990’s campaigner Live Or Die- Killarney owned by Harry von Knoblauch. Bondy N won for the third time at Dover after a Meadowlands winning debut. The New Zealand-expatriate has now won 27 of only 62 starts and $624,706 in his career.

After five wins Sunday, Tim Tetrick added four more visits to the winner’s circle to his total. Corey Callahan also added four wins to his track leading total.
