Saratoga Open To Dontcallmefrancis

Published: March 4, 2017 10:51 pm EST

Dontcallmefrancis scored in Saturday’s (March 4) feature at Saratoga Casino Hotel.

The four-year-old Rocknroll Hanover gelding made his local debut last week and announced his presence with authority, prevailing by almost five lengths while stopping the timer in 1:53.1 in a high level conditional race.

This week, it was up into the Open Pace for the Al Annunziata-trained Dontcallmefrancis, who took advantage of his inside post to score in 1:53.3 on another cold night in the Spa City. Bruce Aldrich Jr. was the winning driver behind the race’s even-money favourite, who held off runner-up Sassy Hanover (Billy Dobson) third-place finisher Givenupdreaming (Stephane Bouchard) in the $12,000 feature.
