UPDATE: Shooting At Mohawk Inn

An unidentified 37-year-old man is in Hamilton hospital after a shooting at the Mohawk Inn near Mohawk Racetrack

on Wednesday night.

Around 9:00 p.m. last night, the man and a passenger were confronted by three suspects in the Mohawk Inn parking lot and police told The Hamilton Spectator that an altercation occured, but offered no additional information.

The Canadian Press is reporting that the suspects were seen leaving the area in a small dark compact vehicle.

An afternoon press release stated that "police now believe that the motive behind the attack was robbery" and that "the suspects did take an undisclosed amount of money from the victims."

Investigators are reportedly looking for three suspects. There are two male suspects, each about 5-foot-8 and wearing dark clothing with hoodies. One was wearing a hat and concealed his face with something white, said police, while the third suspect was female.
