After skipping a week from the Preferred ranks at Woodbine Mohawk Park, Amigo Volo returned just as good as he was before he took advantage of the time away.

With Tyler Borth at the controls for the Monday, Feb. 26 edition of the $36,000 Preferred Handicap Trot, Amigo Volo shot to the top in the seven-horse affair and easily chopped out fractions of :27.4, :57.1 and 1:26.1 before storming home in :27.3 to win by 1-1/2 lengths over Pikachu Hanover in 1:53.4.  Patriarch Hanover took home third prize.

Meg Crone trains the seven-year-old son of Father Patrick-Margarita Momma for Pinske Stables and David Miller.  The victory improved Amigo Volo's 2024 record to 3-1-0 from five trips to the track. The 34-time winner has banked more than $2.4 million to date.

Sent postward as the even-money favourite, Amigo Volo paid $4.30 to win.
