Knowing that he's stepping into a position in an industry on an uphill climb, Horse Racing Alberta's incoming Chief Operating Officer Terry Keyko states that "this [position] has some unique challenges that I think I can contribute to."

Keyko and Trot Radio's Norm Borg discuss the new COO's vast experience with Alberta's government, his background in harness racing and how it could work to his advantage, and some of the reasons why he accepted the position with HRA.

"I'm really excited by the leadership at HRA now, I know that there's huge issues, but I think we have some opportunities...maybe if we can find that new path then we can make some changes."
