Cherry Peep cut three-quarters in 1:58, a moderate tempo under ordinary circumstances but one that left her vulnerable on the sloppy surface. The pocket-sitting Explosive Magic and Dave Palone took full advantage, pouncing on Cherry Peep and downing her by a half-length margin in 1:57.2. Tequila Talkin rallied for show.
