After seeing her three win streak come to an end last Friday, Continual Velocity bounced back with a wire-to-wire score in the $30,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred Pace at Woodbine Racetrack.

Sent postward as the 6-5 favourite, Continual Velocity fired to command from post six in the seven-horse field with Jody Jamieson in the sulky. The five-year-old Real Artist mare carved out fractions of :27.1, :55.4 and 1:24 en route to the 1:52 triumph with last week's upset winner Greystone Ladylike (Billy Davis Jr.) following two lengths behind off a pocket trip. Didrickson (Scott Zeron) advanced first over to show.

Trained by Jeff Gillis for owner-breeder Kenneth Stohler, Continual Velocity earned her 17th career win and pushed her career earnings to $243,454.

Later on the card, Carmen Auciello trainee Barockey notched her fifth straight win with a 1:53 effort in her $20,000 conditioning assignment. Billy Davis Jr. drove the four-year-old Mach Three mare, who was claimed for $15,000 on January 10 at Woodbine by Wheelhouse Racing Stable of Mississauga, Ont.
