The five-year-old Leader Bayama mare Lit De Rose continues to thrive at Woodbine Mohawk Park as she took her third-consecutive victory in the $30,000 Fillies & Mares Preferred when winning on Saturday (Dec. 19).

Major League N led the field to the quarter in :27.2 while Lit De Rose raced in fifth, where she stayed through a :56 half. Gia Surreal soon pulled first over from fourth moving to the far turn, giving Lit De Rose a helmet to follow as the field rolled to three-quarters in 1:23.2. Straightening for the finish, driver Chris Christoforou let Lit De Rose roll as odds-on favourite So Much More began to motor for the front from last. The pair sprinted to the finish with Lit De Rose holding a neck advantage to the finish while Ivana Flybye N rallied into the mix to take third.

A homebred for owner Guy Corbeil, Lit De Rose won her ninth race from 18 starts this season and her 21st from 56 overall, earning $308,962. Richard Moreau trains the $7.80 winner.
