Circling to control past the quarter, Neon Moon went the added distance and posted a two-and-a-half-length victory in the $9,000 Fillies and Mares Preferred 3 Pace, which was contested at the distance of a mile and a sixteenth at The Raceway at Western Fair District on Tuesday, November 6.

The Jack Darling-trained sophomore filly by Sportswriter vacated the pocket heading to a :28.3 opening quarter and brushed past early-leader Barbies Belle moving towards the stretch. From there Neon Moon faced minimal pressure through a :57.1 half and a brief first-over challenge from On The Minute Mark past three-quarters in 1:27.1.

Neon Moon owned a two-length lead in the stretch while On The Minute Mark stalled to the inside of Dreamfair Eternity rallying late off cover to take second. On The Minute Mark settled for third ahead of 6-5 favourite Bourbon Seelster closing for fourth.

Owned by Jack Darling Stable Ltd., Neon Moon won her sixth race in 15 starts this season and her 11th in 24 overall, earning $146,280. Ryan Holliday drove the $5.30 winner.
