The connections of world champion Six Pack have announced that the trotting stallion will move from his New Jersey base of operations for the 2024 breeding season.

Deo Volente Farms has decided that it is in the best long-term interest of Six Pack to stand stud in New York at Winbak Farm beginning in 2024.

Ake and Sarah Svanstedt and their team get all the credit for Six Pack’s racing career with notable victories (as he accumulated close to $2 million in career earnings) including:

  • Stanley Dancer (1:50) world record
  • Kentucky Futurity (1:49.1) world record
  • Allerage Open Trot as a four-year-old (1:49.2) world record
  • Yonkers Trot
  • Empire Breeders Classic
  • Matron
  • Several divisions of the New York Sire Stakes as a two- and three-year-old

Six Pack was named the Dan Patch Three-Year-Old Trotting Colt of the Year in 2018.

Jack Burke, General Manager of Winbak Farm, said, “Winbak Farm of New York is excited to partner with Deo Volente in standing multiple New York Sire Stakes winner and Empire Breeders Classic winner, Six Pack. His world record speed and ability to win on any size track will make his offspring a valuable commodity in the lucrative New York program.”

Jeff Gural, an original owner of Six Pack, noted that Six Pack has already achieved success with only one crop racing (two-year-olds in 2023). “Not only did he sire Mr Bluebird 2,1:53.1, a Breeders Crown finalist, but he also was successful on the filly side with the likes of Sunkist Beauty 2,1:54.1 ($97,750) and Blazing Deo 2,1:54.4 ($91,150). I am sure he will continue to be successful with both colts and fillies in the future.”

Mike Gulotta, CEO of Deo Volente Farms, stated “Whatever is best for any and every stallion that we represent will dictate our management decisions. I am also happy to partner, once again, with Winbak Farm.”

Six Pack’s stud fee will be set at $7,500 for the 2024 breeding season. Deo Volente Farms will remain the syndicate manager and will continue to handle all bookings for Six Pack.
