Biletnikoff Takes It To The House

Showing no ill effects from a 10-week layoff, Biletnikoff took advantage of live cover to capture Tuesday’s $22,500 Preferred Handicap Pace at The Meadows

When Tuneariffic came first over after the leader, Windsong Gorgeous, Biletnikoff followed. Under Aaron Merriman’s urging, the 7-year-old Keystone Raider-Strikadeeze gelding vaulted around Tuneariffic to down that rival by a neck in 1:54.4 over a “sloppy” surface. Jojo N Goliath shot the Lightning Lane for show.

Paul Kennedy trains Biletnikoff, who extended his career bankroll to $635,301, for Markus Ernst.

Dave Palone drove five winners — four for trainer Ron Burke — on the 15-race card.
