Monster Mile For Hldontghttoyurdrms

Not many trotters kick out speed in the 1:52 range in late November, but someone forgot to send Hldontghttoyurdrms that memo.

The Corey Johnson trainee ripped off a 1:52.4 mile in a $24,000 conditioned assignment on Thursday evening at Woodbine Racetrack.

Jonathan Drury picked up the catch-drive with Hldontghttoyurdrms, and he made the most of opportunity. He marched the four-year-old son of Muscles Yankee-Sweet Gabriella to the early lead from Post 2 and sliced out first-half splits of :26.4 and :56.4 before releasing the first-over Charmed Life to the lead going into the final turn. That filly took the field by the three-quarter pole in 1:24.3, but she couldn’t fend off a re-rallying Hldontghttoyurdrms in the closing strides. That foe got up to win by nose over Charmed Life, with Hamdalla closing to finish third.

The victory was the sixth of the season in 17 tries for Hldontghttoyurdrms, who is owned by Frank Spagnolo, Frank Schimizzi and Saverio Spagnolo. The nine-time winner has stashed away more than $124,000 in lifetime earnings.
