It has been reported that a pair of Pennsylvania State Senators are co-sponsoring a bill that would see Pennsylvania’s two horse racing commissions dissolved.

According to an article that appears on the website of The Sentinel, the bill would see regulatory responsibility to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

The article states that the bill was introduced on Tuesday, November 20 by Senate Agriculture Committee Chairman Elder Vogel and has been co-sponsored by Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati and Majority Leader Dominic Pileggi.

The report has cited Senate Agriculture Committee Executive Director Michael Rader as saying that the commissions are on the brink of insolvency.
