Camaes Fellow Rebounds In Preferred

Published: November 2, 2013 11:37 pm EDT

After suffering a narrow loss in last weekend’s Preferred Pace at Woodbine Racetrack, Camaes Fellow returned to the top class with a vengeance and won impressively in the Saturday evening feature.

Sylvain Filion marched Camaes Fellow right to the position of command from Post 4 and the five-year-old son of Mach Three-Camae successfully sliced out intervals of :26.2, :55.2 and 1:22.4 before tacking on a :27.1 final quarter for good measure. The margin of victory in the 1:50 performance was 1-3/4 lengths over State Treasurer. Ellis Park, who entered the tilt riding a five-race winning streak, came on late to finish third.

Dave Menary trains the OSS graduate for Burke Racing Stable LLC, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and M1 Stable LLC. The win was his 10th of the season and the 21st of his career. He’s banked $224,010 this year and more than $785,000 in his career.
