Iron Horse Photo captured some rare behind-the-scenes footage of the Trot Canada National Handicapping Championship, which took place this past weekend
at Georgian Downs.
The video piece includes one-on-one interviews with some of the championship ‘personalities,’ an insider's look at the championship venue, as well as a sneak peek at how the champ made his wagers and managed to take the $25,000 grand prize home to Prince Edward Island.
The championship featured players from across the country, as well as some repeat players and players with some ‘history’ with the championship. Brad Lichty of Elmira, Ont. said his goal was "to finish higher than my wife, Corinne, who competed the first two years!" Lichty got his wish, as he finished in third place this year.
