Howard Parker hit the wire first with two 24-1 shots Wednesday, October 7 at Pocono Downs.
After the featured race on the 15-race dash, Parker brought Year Of The Dragon back to the winner’s circle. Time of the mile was 1:52.4. Prior to the card, the Carmine Fusco-trained Year Of The Dragon had been racing at Chester Racetrack in $47,000 and $40,000 claiming races. His win at Pocono came in a $30,000 claiming race.
Earlier on the card, in a $15,000 claiming race, Parker steered Corporate RRRaider to a win in 1:52.3 over a 'fast' track from Post 5. The Tabitha Teresczuk-trained 11-year-old gelding won for the fifth time in 26 starts this season.
Both Year Of The Dragon and Corporate RRRaider returned $50 and change for a $2 wager.
