Ronnie Wrenn Jr. made his 7,000th trip to the winner’s circle after scoring with Just Bookem in MGM Northfield Park’s fifth race on Monday evening.

Just Bookem was the race favourite and won by 1-1/2 lengths over King Carona (Billy Davis, Jr.), returning $3.60 to win.  The 1:52.1 clocking was the 32nd career win for the seven-year-old gelded pacer, who now has $258,986 in earnings.

The 36-year-old Wrenn began driving in 2008.  His 7,000 wins have helped him garner nearly $51.5 million in purse earnings.

Wrenn earned his first win behind Artful Power in a $1,400 Billings race at a Michigan fair in 2008.  His breakout year was 2012, when he posted over $1.5 million in purse earnings, and he has never looked back.  Wrenn is consistently among the top drivers in the country.  He won the 2013 and 2014 national dash driving titles, finished third in 2015 and 2016, fifth in 2017, second in 2018, fourth in 2019, second in 2020 and was third in 2021.

Among those congratulating Wrenn in the winner’s circle were his wife Briana and sons Easton and William.
