Friends and colleagues of the late Wendy Hoogeveen are invited to the running of a race dedicated to her memory.
The Wendy Hoogeveen Memorial Pace will take place on Saturday, October 11, as the sixth race at Mohawk Racetrack during the Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) Gold Super Finals Night (post time 7:25 p.m.).
Members of Wendy’s family will be attending and will make a presentation in the Winner’s Circle.
Wendy had a significant and long standing impact on horse racing in Ontario and leaves an incredible legacy. In many ways, it is fitting that a major event in racing coincides with this tribute.
The OSS Program was something very dear to Wendy, and something that she fought very hard to develop and promote.
