It has been reported that the Lakeshore Horse Raceway Association has officially applied for 30 race dates to take place at the Leamington Fairgrounds in 2014.
News of the application comes courtesy of an article by blackburnnews.com.
The report has quoted Tom Bain, Lakeshore Mayor and part of the LHRA, as saying, “We proved that we can put on a meet and a very successful meet. Our betting live per capita was second only to Toronto. It’s a fact that the people in this region want horse racing, we’ve got the backing, and we hope that we can put on 30 days.”
