A four-win performance on Thursday evening at Grand River Raceway by teamster Scott Zeron has really made things interesting in the race for this year’s driving title at the Elora, Ont. oval.

With just three cards of racing remaining in Grand River Raceway’s season, Zeron finds himself just one win behind Paul MacKenzie who leads the way with 73 wins.

Zeron kicked off Thursday’s 12-race program with a win behind Phenomenal Grace (2:01.2), and he tacked on additional scores with Shipp To Morgan (2:01.3), Barbrasboy (1:58) and Boy In A Bubble (1:59.2).
