Timberline Court Extends Streak At Fraser

Timberline Court continued the win streak he began in Alberta this past spring with a 1:54.1 victory in the $10,000 Open Pace on Fraser Downs’ opening night

, Friday, Oct. 1.

Timberline Court and trainer-driver Gerry Hudon sat fourth before moving underway past the half-mile mark. As the compact field of five raced into the final turn, the five-year-old son of With Held-Bon Temps collared Reserve Forces and trainer-driver Ed Hensley, the 1-2 favourite who carved out fractions of :28.3, :57.4 and 1:26. He then held off a late rush from At Last and Kevin Anderson by a neck for his fifth consecutive victory. Pocket-sitter Cash Account and Carl Sibiga finished one and a quarter length behind in third.

Timberline Court paid $15 to win as the 6-1 fourth choice. Hudon also co-owns the gelding, who is five-for-six on the year, with R. Lynn Kowalevsky of Airdrie, Alta. Timberline Court's earnings climbed to $29,440 for 2010 and $249,359 lifetime.

The opening three months (October, November, December) of the 2010-2011 meet at Fraser will feature 25 race dates. Only two Saturday night cards are on the agenda: Oct. 2 and Oct. 9, both with 7 p.m. starts. The rest of the dates are Friday nights (7 p.m.) and Sunday afternoons (1:15 p.m.) with the exception of Thursday, Nov. 11 - the traditional Remembrance Day card featuring BC Classic Day at 1:15 p.m. The 2011 race dates have not been confirmed.
