Reports from Illinois indicate that top driver Mike Oosting is being held in a detention facility in Will County on charges of domestic battery
.
The Chicago Tribune reports that Oosting is being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court Monday on the charge.
Oosting, 48, of Beecher, IL, captured an unprecedented sixth straight driving title at Balmoral Park in 2010 and also finished third in among drivers at Maywood Park. Oosting ranked fifteenth among North American drivers in wins last year with 468.
