Standardbred Canada continues to sponsor a nurse mare program designed to match orphaned or rejected foals with nurse mares.
Breeders who have a nurse mare (i.e. a mare who has just lost a foal) which could be matched with an orphan foal, or those with foals who require a nurse mare, are asked to call and register. Heather Reid of Standardbred Canada will handle the registry and the following individuals have offered to handle the calls on weekends and after business hours.
