By-Law Amendments 2012

BY-LAW AMENDMENTS PASSED
On December 13, 2012, ballots that were cast my members for amendments to By-Law#1 and #2 were counted by the Returning Officer, Bruce G. Drysdale, C.A. & Associates.
All proposals that were put forward by the Board (By-Law #1) and Breeders Committee (By-Law #2) were approved by the membership.

Amendments pertaining to Board size and structure in By-Law #1 will take effect for the next election of Directors for the 2014 - 2016 term.
October 2012 - Mississauga, ON
The Standardbred Canada Board of Directors and Breeders Committee are proposing revisions to the Association’s by-laws. They are calling on the membership to review and vote on the proposed amendments.
Active Members will vote on proposed amendments to by-law #1.
Breeder Members will vote on proposed amendments to by-law #1 and by-law #2.
An eligible voter must be an Active or Breeder member in good standing, a Canadian resident and at least 17 years of age on January 1st, 2012.
On October 10, 2012, ballots were mailed to the last recorded address of each member eligible to vote.
Included with the voting package are the following:
- Letter to members from Corporate Secretary
- Proposed by-law amendments with changes outlined
- Voting ballot with voting instructions
- Ballot envelope
- Return envelope
Ballots are to be returned to the Standardbred Canada head office in Mississauga, Ontario by 11:00 am (EDT) on Thursday, December 13, 2012. Ballots received after this date and time, duplicate votes and spoiled ballots will not be counted.
