Good Promotion At Rideau

On Sunday, August 3 Rideau Carleton Raceway will be hosting eliminations for the Frank Ryan Memorial Trot. And if you like free gasoline, make sure you get to the track.

The post position draw for the $175,000 (estimated) final will take place after the eliminations, and longtime CTV news anchor Max Keeping will serve as the special celebrity drawmaster.

Rideau is having the event coincide with a WO Stinson promotion that will see one lucky fan win a $500 gas voucher. WO Stinson is a leading auto fuel retailer in the region. It is all part of a larger fundraising promotion for Rotary House.

Fans will have the opportunity to purchase draw tickets for their chance at the voucher. In addition to being part of the post draw, CTV's Keeping will also be drawing the winner of the voucher.

The news of the special post position draw comes on the heels of Rideau's successful Des Smith draw. The event generated much local media attention, as popular as Ottawa 67s' coach Brian Kilrea served as drawmaster.
