Another Poor Week Of PEI Weather

Mother Nature has not been kind to Prince Edward Island this winter and it has sure made it difficult to get some training done. Even though it is officially Spring, snow and blowing snow were on the menu from Sunday night to Thursday morning, and getting a track good was near impossible. We did get jogged every day, and finally Thursday morning a doubleheader for Shadow, fastest in 2:20 and coming right back again Saturday with his fastest in 2:15. Shadow had a great week, has settled down now jogging and trained really well on both days. He was turned out most every day this week as well, before the track work.

The sun is shining today and things are drying up so hopefully, faster tracks are ahead. Next week, Shadow will start going a doubleheader and a single (3 trips). Being optimistic, summer shoes will be applied next week in preparation for some serious training.
