Longtime harness racing industry participant Tom D. Tetrick, 73, of Geff, Ill., passed away at his residence on July 16, 2023.
Mr. Tetrick was a member of the USTA. He won 1,255 races as a driver and 577 as a trainer (since 1991).
He was born in Mt. Vernon, Ill., on July 19, 1949, to Thomas H. and Jean (Wadlington) Tetrick. He married Mary Alice Wheat on Oct. 28, 1972.
Mr. Tetrick is survived by his wife, Mary Alice; sons, Tom T. (Amanda), Tim (Ashley) and Trace (Sandy); and grandchildren, Tony, Trysta, Tyler, Chloe, and Teagan Sage. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Betty Jean.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Tuesday, July 25 at Geff Christian Church in Geff, Ill., with burial to follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, July 24 at the church.
