SC Announces Automated Draw Reports

As part of Standardbred Canada’s (SC) commitment to transparency and enhanced communication, SC will soon be releasing a draw report.

Consultation has taken place with our industry stakeholders. It is important to note that any questions pertaining to the draw or changes that are made should be directed toward the Race Secretary at the racetrack in question.

ORIGINAL ENTRIES (image is a sample only)

DRAWS FORMAT 

Draws include Horse Name, Final Post Position, Drawn Post Position, Handicap Group, Comments in case of scratches and Draw Time.

DRAW PROCESS (image is a sample only)

The morning after an overnight draw takes place a link to the “Draw Process”  report will be available on the entries of the SC website. This page will show the horses with the assigned post position and race number and the post position drawn along with the date and time of the draw and if there were any re-draws.

In the event of a re-draw, the post position and date and time will be shown separated by a “/”, For example:

• post position 1/2/5 (first draw was position 1, then post position 2, then post position 5.
• Draw time 01-Jan-2024 10:25/11:24/11:35 (Draw 1 was at 10:25, Draw 2 was at 11:24, Draw 3 was at 11:35.

If a handicap is used, then the handicap group will be shown. This group would have been set with specific post positions and horses and the automated draw randomly chooses the post positions from those with that group. Please note that a “re-draw” is a term used even if a horse is scratched and an also eligible moves in.

Une consultation a eu lieu avec nos partenaires de l’industrie. Il est important de noter que toutes les questions concernant le tirage ou les modifications apportées doivent être adressées au Secrétaire de Course de l’hippodrome concerné.

FORMAT DES TIRAGES

Les tirages incluent le nom du cheval, la position de départ finale, la position de départ tirée, le groupe de handicap, les commentaires en cas de retraits et de l’heure du tirage.

PROCESSUS DE TIRAGE (échantillon seulement)

Le lendemain d’un tirage, un lien vers le rapport “Draw Process” (processus de tirage) sera disponible sur les inscriptions de notresite Web SC. Cela montrera les chevaux avec la position de départ attribuée et le numéro de course ainsi que la position de départ tirée ainsi que la date/heure du tirage et si le tirage a été refait. En cas que le tirage a été refait, la position de départ et la date/heure seront indiquées séparées par un “/”, par exemple :

• positions de départ 1/2/5 (le 1er tirage était la position de départ 1, puis la position de départ 2, puis la position de départ 5).
• Heure du tirage 01-Jan-2024 10:25/11:24/11:35 (le 1er tirage était à 10:25, le 2ème tirage était à 11:24 et le 3ème tirage était à 11:35).

Si un handicap est utilisé, alors le groupe de handicap sera indiqué. Ce groupe aurait été défini avec des positions de départ et des chevaux spécifiques et le tirage automatique choisit au hasard les positions de départ parmi ceux de ce groupe. Veuillez noter qu’un “re-draw” (tirage refait) est un terme utilisé même si un cheval est retiré et qu’un autre cheval éligible le remplace.
