The Marcus Melander pupil will start from the pole position for driver Brian Sears. From nine starts this seasons the son of Nuncio-Bacio has recorded a 2-3-2 record while banking $154,977.
Venerable, who suffered a heartbreaking loss in her elimination of the Breeders Crown, will look to bounce back as she takes on six other foes in the $130,700 Matron Stakes for two-year-old trotting fillies. The daughter of Walner-Jolene Jolene has drawn Post 6 for the tandem of driver David Miller and trainer Richard ‘Nifty’ Norman. Listed at 2-5 in the morning line, the eight-time winner will be looking to bolster a bank account that sits at $1,011,255.
Joyride Hanover, the stablemate of Venerate, is the 5-2 morning line favourite in the $145,100 Matron Stakes for two-year-old pacing fillies. The Richard ‘Nifty’ Norman trainee will start from Post 2 with driver Tim Tetrick at the controls. The daughter of American Ideal-JK Higher Power already owns a 2-3-3 record from nine trips to the track and earnings of $122,002.
