SC Rewind: Picture Parade

SC Rewind - Picture Parade
Published: August 26, 2023 01:30 pm EDT

In the latest edition of Rewind, Robert Smith has assembled another group of old photographs for the monthly feature Picture Parade.  The folks in the reading audience have a chance to identify the personalities or items displayed in the pictures if they so desire.  You can submit as few or as many answers as you wish, or you can sit back and just look at this collection of "oldies".

This week's photos once again follow a central theme as all of them involve being in the winner's circle for the traditional gathering and picture taking that most often follows each race.  Because of their similarity most will carry the same caption.

Here is a real oldie from 1959 to test our photo experts.  If you can name the driver then maybe another name or two will be possible as well.

Quote For The Week: "Barns are the shrines of a good life, and ought to be remembered." From Eric Sloane, American artist and writer who loved barns.  He was a noted landscape painter.
