  • Applicants will need to provide a short essay (500 words+ no longer than a page) describing the following: a) how they became involved in the Matinee Program; b) what skills and lessons they learned through the program; c) what role the matinee program played in assisting them with furthering their education on the harness racing industry; and d) why they feel it is important to continue the Matinee Program on Prince Edward Island.
  • Applicants must also provide references from two Island horsemen who are not family members, describing why they feel the applicant is deserving of this bursary.
