The Tuesday evening trek to Georgian Downs turned out to be a profitable one for driver Sylvain Filion, who surged closer to hitting $60 million in lifetime earnings with a six-win
performance on the 12-race card.
Filion, who is a little more than $240,000 away from reaching that money milestone, chalked up his first win of the evening in Race 2 with Mya Mutt. The Cindy Horner trainee halted the teletimer in 1:58.4. He came right back to take Race 3 with Bare Necessity in a time of 1:56.3 before returning to take Race 6 with Hearthetrainacomin in 2:00.1.
He was unstoppable in Races 9 thru 11 thanks to wins with Dark Prince (1:54), Bullseye Valley (2:00.3) and Honey Of A Deal (1:57.2).
The Quebec native, who now calls Milton, ON home, has piloted home 6,487 winners in his career.
