The 2022 O’Brien Award winners weren’t the only ones taking home hardware this past Saturday night.
The O’Brien Awards Afterparty, sponsored by Bid & Buy, featured a Bow River Jewelry Grand Prize 14-karat diamond horseshoe ring won by Cindy Molyneux of Sparta, Ont.
Standardbred Canada (SC) would like to congratulate Cindy and thank Art Strozewski, from Bow River Equestrian Jewelry.
“It was an honour to be amongst the O’Brien recipients and nominees.” said Strozewski. “It was an outstanding event.”
Molyneux was awarded her prize by Strozewski on the red carpet just outside of the Graydon Hall Ballroom following the announcement made at the Bid & Buy Afterparty.
SC caught up with the lucky grand prize winner to see what she had to say. As the co-owner of O'Brien Award finalist Cheesy Smile, Molyneux didn't take home a trophy but her night still had a sweet ending.
“I was totally surprised. It was an absolutely fantastic and exciting moment,” said Molyneux. “The ring is gorgeous, a big thank you to Art from Bow River Jewelry for this generous grand prize, the ring is gorgeous and an over-the-top donation. We have seen Bow River in different places and events. I am astounded, I don’t know how to put it in words. Thank you.”
