If Friday's qualifying effort at The Meadowlands is any indication, Instagram Model is still keen on having her picture taken.
Making her first appearance off a narrow defeat as the favourite in the Moni Maker on Sept. 22 at Harrah's Hoosier Park, Instagram Model was entered in the first qualifying dash in advance of the return to live harness racing at the New Jersey oval next Thursday, Oct. 20. Jason Bartlett settled the sophomore trotting filly into third behind Collector S (Scott Zeron) through fractions of :29.1 and :57.4 before a first-over approach just before the 1:26.4 third quarter mark. Bartlett didn't lift a line as Instagram Model confidently forged to the front through the stretch and tripped the timer in 1:55.
Breeders Crown-eligible Instagram Model (Chapter Seven - Chceck Out Trixie) is trained by Annie Stoebe for owner Lynn Curry of West Chester, Pa. The 2023 New York Sire Stakes champion sports a 8-3-1 lifetime summary from 18 starts with more than $545,000 in earnings.
