Multiple Carryovers At Pompano

Officials with Pompano Park have announced that there are multiple carryovers heading into the track’s card of live racing scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, including a $175,228 carryover for the track’s 20-cent Jackpot Hi-Five wager.

The 20-cent Jackpot Hi-Five has gone unscathed over the last two months, although there have been several nights where the wager featured only two winners. In order to win the entire jackpot, you must hold the one unique winning ticket. The average 20-cent nightly consolation payout over the same time period is over $600.

Pompano’s final Monday night card of the season proved to be a difficult one for the multi-race exotic players on April 27.

Despite beginning with somewhat reasonable prices of 7-2, 11-1, and 5-2, there were no live tickets heading into the final leg of the Pick 4. The result is a $4,984 carryover into the Wednesday night card, with an instant $25,000 guaranteed pool.

The Pick 4 is a nightly wager covering Races 5 – 8, featuring a 50-cent minimum and a reduced takeout of only 12 per cent.

The 50-cent Pick 5 went unsolved on Monday as well, leaving a $1,773 carryover into Wednesday night. Track officials have placed a $7,500 guarantee on the Pick 5 pool. The 50-cent Pick 5 is a nightly wager featured on Races 2 – 6.

Live racing will continue at Pompano on Wednesday and Saturday evenings through June 27. First post each evening is 7:30 p.m.
