Admiral Hill Sells For Six Figures

Sophomore pacer Admiral Hill sold for more than $200,000 via an online auction on Thursday afternoon, Nov. 16.

Matt Morrison of Pennylvania was the winning bidder on the Sweet Lou-Laura Hill gelding, who sold through onGait.com for $261,000.

Previously conditioned by Chris Ryder for owner/breeder Tom Hill of England, Admiral Hill was a Bluegrass Stakes winner as a freshman and took his mark of 1:48.3 beating the likes of Tip Top Cat, Combustion and El Rey in winning the $100,000 Kentucky Commonwealth Series final this past September at The Red Mile. He has earned more than $275,000 in two seasons of racing with eight wins to his credit from 25 career starts.

OnGait's Fall Mixed Sale starts on Friday with a total of 50 broodmares, stallion shares and weanlings being offered. Bidding ends on Saturday afternoon.
