Party Queen Brings The Fun At Vernon

Party Queen

Party Queen prevailed in the $6,500 featured fillies and mares pace at Vernon Downs on Friday (July 14).

Mildrex (Dylan Huckabone-Miller) took the lead just before hitting the quarter first in :26.4.  Miley Rose (Steeven Genois) came first-over to challenge going down the backstretch.  Mildrex was also first to the half in :55.2 and she repelled Miley Rose to be first to three-quarters in 1:24.2.

As they made the turn for home Party Queen and Barton Dallious ($5.70) battled with Mildrex for the top spot.  As they reached mid-stretch Party Queen just took off and won easily in a lifetime best of 1:52.4.  Unusual Clarity (Ron Harp) came up to finish second.  Mildrex had to settle for third.

Party Queen is a five-year-old mare by Roll With Joe.  She is owned by Betcha Win Stable LLC. and trained by Jeff Sorenson.  It was her fifth win this season and her 15th career victory.

Barton Dalious had a natural hat trick.  He combined with trainer Gary Gibson (training double) to get wins with The Hunt Is On and Control Group.

Live harness racing returns to Vernon Downs on Saturday (July 15) with a nine-race card starting at 6:05 p.m.
