Brittany Farms Lexington Sale Roster Available

Pebble Beach winning at Woodbine Mohawk Park

The Brittany Farms yearling roster for the Lexington Selected Sale has now been finalized and is available online.

The yearling roster is available on the farm’s website, britfarms.com. The horses will be sold beginning Monday, Oct. 3, with sale sessions continuing through Friday, Oct. 7.

Up-to-date TrackIT pedigrees are available for each yearling, with virtual inspection videos to be added in early fall.

All of the Brittany and Brittany & Partners yearlings are “dual eligible,” meaning they are eligible to the rich Kentucky Sire Stakes program and to the sire stakes program in the state or province in which their sire stands.

As a two-time U.S. “Breeder of the Year” and number one breeder in Breeders Crown champions, average earnings per starter and percentage of millionaires from foals, Brittany yearlings — sold at every price point — warrant the attention of buyers.

“We’ve had some terrific consignments over the years, even selling last year’s top-priced Lexington pacing yearling,  but I believe this year’s crop — in terms of pedigree, conformation and athleticism — is among the best we’ve ever offered,” said farm manager Art Zubrod.

Pacing highlights this year include San Jose, the Captaintreacherous three-quarter brother to 2022’s top-ranked three-year-old pacer, Pebble Beach p,2,1:48.4 ($931,750), winner of the $1 million North America Cup. Also not to be missed is Sandalwood, a Bettors Delight filly and first foal from multiple two-year-old stakes-winning filly Key West p,2,1:51.1.

As always, the farm will send a powerful contingent of trotters to auction including a pair of fillies by red-hot Walner: Special Talent, from a Muscle Hill stakes-winning full sister to Beautiful Game, and Pizzelle, a three-quarter sister to 2022 two-year-old Espresso 2,1:57.2.

The Muscle Hill colt Trust Me, from the Brittany Farms, Marvin Katz and Al Libfeld partnership, is the first foal from multiple stakes-winning two-year-old filly Word Of Honor, and the Muscle Hill colt Bright Star is a three-quarter brother to Starita 3,1:53.3 ($307,696).

Two Father Patrick colts, Vocalize and Veracruz, from Speak To Me and Valdonna, respectively, both hail from very current, stakes-winning families.

Prospective buyers are welcome to visit the farm pre-sale for an up close, personal inspection of the Brittany Farms yearlings.
